Declining coworker friend requests

Since I know my blog readers are sophisticated social media users and don’t need advice on this topic, this is only of marginal interest, but I’m quoted in this article on How to Decline Facebook Friends Without Offence.

Hmmm… not sure I’ve ever been described as a sophisticated anything!

I think the more people get sophisticated on social networks too, the less they care about being ignored on friend requests. Or at least I’m banking on it because I ignore friend requests like crazy. Just like on Twitter. I get unfollowed by a dozen people every day. At first I was kind of offended. Now, it doesn’t bother me at all.

@Jake You’re the most sophisticated flickr user I know!
@Adam I totally agree! I can’t keep track of who hasn’t friended me, so I just hope others are the same.
