Spied this while buying replacement clothes in Scotland. (No, I didn’t buy it.) I guess Facebook has taken off in Scotland! Who knew this is the “tshirt everyone is talking about.”

At my old company’s user conference in Vegas last summer I was talking to an Australian journalist who was telling me that pretty much everyone there uses Facebook to communicate, which surprised me. It was one of the reasons I joined up…to see why so many editors were talking about it. It’s a strange conundrum for me. I find Facebook such a personal application and yet I have so many professional contacts there. Setting the privacy settings for different types of users is a serious pain but I don’t feel comfortable nixing people simply because they aren’t a close friend. I do think that many people do that though (Eric E. from OS keeps ignoring my friend requests and I hope that’s why!!!). ;)
